Road to Federalism Caravan in Bayog
To increase awareness on the proposed change from Unitary to Federal Form of Government, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) held a one-day Road to Federalism Caravan: A Town Hall Meeting on November 20, 2018 at Bayog Municipal Gymnasium.
Attendees to the said activity was around 885 that were composed of Bayog municipal officials, department heads & other key officials and employees; SK and barangay chairmen; officials and teaching/non-teaching staff of Department of Education; other national government agencies; business, non-government organizations, farmer sectors; indigenous peoples; persons with disability; senior citizens; student leaders and attendees from the Municipality of Kumalarang, Lakewood and Tigbao with their respective municipal mayors.
The DILG representatives who were present include Olmida S. Duran, the Cluster Head-District II, and Alvin M. Lucero, Benjamin G. Solo, Chrisjoe G. Morales and Araceli Solatorio.
Speakers from the DILG presented in the local dialect which made the attendees more focused and attentive.
